1.1 For Users of the Market Crowd Check

We adhere to a strict data minimization policy for our free tools. If you use the Market Crowd Check:

  • Email Address: You can run 2 free Market Crowd Checks anonymously. To unlock unlimited access we simply ask for your email to confirm you’re a real vendor. We never sell your data.

1.2 For Registered Users of the Hex5 Mobile App

If you create an account to organize events or register as a vendor on the Hex5 platform, we collect the following to provide our services:

  • Account Information: Name, Email address, Phone number, and Password (encrypted).
  • Business Details: For vendors and organizers, details such as business name, location, description of products/services, URLs, and images.
  • Event Information: Event details provided by organizers, vendor applications, and approvals.
  • Payment Information: Processed securely through Stripe (we do not store full payment details).
  • Location Data (Optional): Used to improve event discovery and recommendations within the app.

1.3 Automated Data Collection (All Services)

  • Usage Data: Interaction history, features used, and engagement metrics.
  • Tracking & Analytics: We use tracking technologies for analytics, personalization, and security.

2. How We Use Your Information

We process your data based on your consent, contractual necessity (e.g., payments), and legitimate business interests (e.g., fraud prevention, analytics). Users may withdraw consent where applicable.

  • Deliver the link for the Market Crowd Check to your email.

3. Information Sharing & Disclosure

We never sell your data. However, we share your information in the following limited circumstances:

3.1 With Event Organizers & Vendors (Hex5 Mobile App Users Only)

  • Vendors’ contact details are shared with organizers only after applying to an event.
  • Accepted vendors’ information may appear on event pages and promotions.
  • Organizers’ information is publicly visible to vendors.

3.2 Payment Processing

Payment details are handled by Stripe to ensure security.

We may disclose information if legally required to comply with laws or protect our rights.

3.4 Platform Improvements & Security

We work with trusted third-party providers for data analytics, security, and service enhancements. All third-party providers must comply with strict data protection policies.

4. Your Privacy Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

4.1 Access & Update

Hex5 Mobile App users can view and update personal information in account settings. Simulator users may contact us to update their details.

4.2 Data Deletion

You may request the deletion of your account and associated data through the app. However, account deletion may be subject to any pending obligations related to active applications or events. Organizers and vendors must ensure that all events and applications are fully completed or withdrawn before an account can be deleted.

4.3 Marketing Preferences

You may opt out of newsletters or marketing emails at any time by clicking the ‘unsubscribe’ link in our emails.

4.4 App Permissions

Hex5 Mobile App users can modify location and notification preferences through their device settings.

5. Data Security Measures

We implement robust security measures to protect your data, including:

  • Encryption: Industry-standard encryption to protect sensitive data.
  • Regular Security Audits: Continuous monitoring and testing for vulnerabilities.

6. Data Retention Policy

Simulator Data: Email addresses provided for the Market Crowd Check are retained to provide service updates until you unsubscribe.

Mobile App Data: Retained as long as your account remains active.

Account Deletion Process: When you initiate account deletion, your data remains stored for 30 days after the last event or application associated with your account.

Final Deletion: After the 30-day retention period, all associated data is permanently deleted from our systems, except where retention is required by law for fraud prevention, security investigations, or regulatory compliance.

Pending Obligations: Organizers and vendors with active events or applications must ensure that all obligations are fulfilled before their account can be deleted.

7. Children’s Privacy

Hex5.app is not intended for individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If a violation is identified, the data will be deleted.

8. Third-Party Services & Integrations

Hex5.app integrates with external services (e.g., Stripe, analytics tools) to enhance functionality. Third-party services operate under their own privacy policies, and we encourage users to review them.

10. Business Transfers & Mergers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user information may be transferred under similar privacy protections.
