1 Do I need an account to use Hex5.app?
No! You can freely browse events without an account. However, creating an account lets you bookmark events and receive notifications about new events in your area. Furthermore, a personal account is required if you want to become a vendor or organizer.
2 What can I do once I find an event?
(1) Get directions directly to the event location. (2) Share event details with friends and family. (3) Bookmark the event to save it for later (requires account). (4) View all event details including date, time, description, and photos.
3 Where are events currently available?
We're currently focusing on the greater Charlotte, NC area, with plans to expand to more regions soon.
4 How do I get notified about new events?
Complete your personal profile information and we'll notify you about new events in your area.
5 What is a vendor on Hex5.app?
A vendor is a business or individual who participates in popup events by selling products or services. As a vendor, you can apply to participate in events created by organizers.
6 How do I become a vendor?
You'll need to (1) Sign up, (2) Complete your personal profile, (3) Complete your vendor profile.
7 Is there a cost to be a vendor?
There's no cost to create a vendor account on Hex5.app and find events. When applying for events, their participation fees vary and are set by event organizers.
8 What happens after I apply to an event?
The event organizer will review your application. You'll be notified when your application is accepted. If accepted, you'll need to complete the payment to confirm your participation.
9 As a vendor, can I withdraw my application?
Yes, you can withdraw your application under these conditions. If your status is "review" (under review by organizer). If your status is "accept" (accepted but not yet paid). If your status is "waitlist" (waiting for spot availability). Note that once you have paid and your status is "paid", you cannot withdraw your application. Your spot is confirmed for the event.
10 Can I participate in multiple events?
Yes! You can apply to as many events as you'd like, as long as they don't conflict with your schedule.
11 What is an organizer on Hex5.app?
An organizer creates and manages popup market events. You'll be able to choose your venue, set event details, review vendor applications, and manage your events all through the app.
12 How do I become an organizer?
You'll need to (1) Sign up, (2) Complete your personal profile, (3) Complete your organizer profile, (4) Set up your financial account (Stripe)
13 How do I manage vendor applications?
You can (1) Review all incoming vendor applications, (2) Accept vendors based on your criteria, (3) Communicate with vendors through the app, (4) Track accepted vendor payments.
14 How does vendor payment work?
When a vendor's application is accepted then (1) The vendor receives a payment notification, (2) They complete the payment through the app, (3) Their spot is secured once payment is received, (4) You receive confirmation of their payment.
15 How do I communicate with my vendors and event organizers?
Use the app's Chat feature - you can initiate a conversation from the Events dashboard. You will also get notified if you receive any messages - and you can access them by tapping the Chat button at the bottom of the screen.
16 Can I organize multiple events?
Yes! You can create and manage multiple events simultaneously through your organizer profile.
17 What are the fees for organizers?
Creating events and reviewing vendor applications is free. Fees apply only when a vendor is accepted and payment is processed. Hex5 platform fees are 3.1% + $0.70 for vendor applications under $100 and 7.1% + $0.70 for vendor applications $100 and above. Note that an additional payment processing fee (2.9% + $0.30) applies to all transactions.
18 I am both a vendor and organizer, how can I track all my applications?
Use the toggle at the top of Events dashboard to switch between views. "Organizer - Review" to manage applications for your events and "Vendor - Status" to track your own applications to other events.
